Practice Policies

In order to provide our patients with the best possible care, we ask that you review the following practice policies:

Appointment Times: You are asked to arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. This allows our physicians to stay on time and prevents long waits. If you arrive late for your appointment, the physician will determine whether you can be worked in or if you need to reschedule.
We do not accept walk in appointments. Please call ahead and we will offer the earliest appointment time available.

No Show/Cancellation Policy: We ask that you kindly provide 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment so that we may offer your time slot to another patient that needs to be seen. The current fee for missed appointments is $25 (regular appointment) and $50 (physical or surgical procedure).

Prescription Refills: Please be sure to bring your prescriptions with you at your regularly schedule visits for refills. If you require a refill of your medication, outside your normal office visit, please call your pharmacy and request the refill. The fastest, most efficient way to obtain your prescription is to have your pharmacy fax a refill request. Our physicians and nursing staff do their best to address prescription refills in a timely manner. However, our busy schedule sometimes delays an immediate response to prescription refill requests. You must allow at least 24 hours for us to process a prescription request. If you need refills for mail order pharmacies or controlled substances, please have the medication name, dose and quantity handy when calling to make your request. Any incomplete information will delay your request. If you are given a written prescription and misplace it, there is a $10 charge for the doctor to re-write it.

Messages: Because our physicians spend most of their day in patient care, we ask that you leave a detailed message with a receptionist when trying to reach your doctor. This allows your doctor time to review your record prior to returning your call. Emergencies will be expedited or given to a triage nurse for immediate attention. Please do not leave more than one message unless you have new information to provide or your condition has gotten worse. Additional messages will delay your request.

Lab Results: A member of our clinical staff will contact you about your labwork either by phone or mail. Most test results take approximately 48 hours; however, some testing takes longer. If you do not hear from a member of our staff within a week of your blood draw, please call our office.

Forms/Disability Paperwork: Our doctors would be happy to complete forms or disability paperwork for you. Usually, an office visit is required to discuss your current condition; however, exceptions can be made upon the doctor’s approval. There is a $10 charge to complete a form outside of an office visit.
